Ultimate Bologna Sandwich

We're all about eating healthy, but sometimes, a bologna sandwich is just the right thing to do, especially when it's fried. Chef Jeremy is taking bologna to the next level with ingredients that get richer by the minute. This ain't your mamma's bologna sandwich!


4 Tablespoons Butter

Hawaiian Bun

6 oz Beef Bologna Sliced Razor Thin

2 - 3 Tablespoons Buffalo Sauce

Bib Lettuce


1 Egg

Pimiento Cheese



Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt 2 tablespoon of butter and toast the insides of the Hawaiian bun for about 1 minute or until browning occurs and set the bun aside. Add another tablespoon of butter to the skillet and add the bologna, making sure to separate the slices. Fry until desired doneness then add buffalo sauce and toss to coat. Pile the bologna on the Hawaiian bun and allow the juices to sink into the bottom bun. Top with lettuce and a thick slice of tomato. Add one more tablespoon of butter to the skillet and crack egg into the skillet. Turn the heat up to medium high to set the edges of the egg while keeping the yolk a little runny. After 1 minute, flip the egg and continue to cook for 1 minute. While the egg cooks, spread desired amount of pimiento cheese on the top bun and set aside. When the egg is cooked, place on top of the tomato, lettuce and bologna and add the top bun with pimiento cheese. Then, try to fit the sandwich in your mouth.
